About Lugia

Lugia first appeared in the Generation II Pokémon games, Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver, released in Japan in 1999. It is numbered 249 in the National Pokédex and has the Psychic/Flying type combination. Lugia also serves as the central Pokémon in Pokémon the Movie 2000, which helped establish its broad recognition beyond the games. In the trading card game, Lugia debuted in the Neo Genesis expansion and has since appeared across numerous sets, promotional releases, and special products. Its large wings, streamlined shape, and silver-and-blue design make it one of the most recognizable Legendary Pokémon from the Johto era.
