Mewtwo is a Legendary Pokémon associated with the original Kanto region and the Psychic type. In the series’ established story, it was created through scientific experimentation using genetic material connected to Mew. This origin gives Mewtwo a distinctive place in Pokémon lore: it is not simply an ancient or naturally occurring creature, but a being shaped by human research. Mewtwo is recognized for its extraordinary mental abilities, imposing design, and recurring role in games, animation, films, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Its appearances often explore independence, identity, and the consequences of creating life for power or experimentation.
