About Dominique Wilkins
Dominique Wilkins was a high-scoring NBA small forward best known for his long Atlanta Hawks tenure and explosive dunking. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006.
Dominique Wilkins built a celebrated NBA career around scoring, athleticism, and relentless attacking play. The Atlanta Hawks acquired him soon after the 1982 draft, and he became the central star of the franchise during the 1980s and early 1990s. Known as “The Human Highlight Film,” Wilkins earned nine All-Star selections, won the NBA scoring title in 1986, and captured the Slam Dunk Contest twice. He remained a productive scorer across later stops with the Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs, and Orlando Magic. Wilkins finished his NBA career in 1999 and entered the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006. His Hawks cards are especially recognizable among collectors of 1980s and 1990s basketball.
